This is a pre-order listing with introductory pricing. We’re planning on putting these into production in the 3rd week of November with orders shipping out mid-December. The photos show our prototype mount. There may be minor refinements in the production version.
Designed and built by Dane Thompson of the Burndown YouTube channel, this fan mount kit allows you to use the GM 19″ PWM fans used in the 2016-2020 Camaro (with 6.2 engine) with an aluminum shroud and radiator of your choice. The fan mount is approximately 20″ in diameter and 3″ deep. You need to use a shroud with a minimum depth of 1/2″ (3/4″ or more recommended for most efficient cooling). The fan part numbers known to work are 15-81927 and 84790788. These are PWM fans, so you will need a way to control it with a PWM- signal and can pull over 70 amps at full speed, so a robust charging system is recommended. GM moved to LIN controlled fans around 2020, so we recommend against buying other part numbers unless you’re positive that they’re PWM controlled. Included is the following:
- Fan mount
- Mounting hardware
- Harness with OEM connectors & terminals, 4′ long 8 AWG power leads and 6′ PWM signal wire.
