LS Cam Retainer Plate – Mahle B31822

These cam retainer plates are cheap insurance to eliminate oil pressure drops that can occur when the seals on the plate get old.  It’s a good idea to replace these whenever doing a cam swap or engine build if you’re in doubt of the condition of the plate installed.  This is not the version that uses countersink head bolts, so it’s less likely to crack at the bolt holes.
